Update on the Fashion Photo Workshop!

Please can you make sure your attendance for day one is marked as yes or no, NOT maybe on fb or have signed the list at the club, as I only have 25 places for the day at holker and it is open to le facebook peoples

Day one: Sunday 22nd @ Holker Hall [SHOOTING DAY]

Day two: Saturday 28th @ Atherton Camera club [RETOUCHING DAY]


So I FINALLY have full confirmation from Holker for day one(hence the delay)

Details: 22nd (this sunday) at Holker hall, Cumbria (look below for their adress) starting at 10am (they are opening the main gates half an hour early for us) Tell them at the kiosk that you are there for the workshop and ask to be pointed toward the burlington suite and get a map of the gardens then if you can.

We will be spending the morning in the burlington room (it's like a conference suite) where I'll give some demos on simple prep, location choosing, choosing a model and some styling ideas.

During the morning we will stop for a 15/20min break so you can go down to the cafe and the smoking area for a drink and such (catering is not included in the fee for the workshop),
and then just after 12 we will break for lunch, and then meet up in the gardens (I will explain where to go) at 1pm where I will do a location lighting demo and then split you all into smaller groups to do a demo around the closer gardens while the others have a go with the location lighting. Then it'll be a 'go and play' where you have freedom of the gardens for the rest of the day (until closing) and I'll be at hand to offer advice and help.

Please bring your own camera and lenses, please no tripods due to them being a trip hazard in the narrow parts of the garden. We will not be able to crowd together into big groups other than in more open areas of the garden, and also bear in mind that lunch and drinks are not included in the price.

I am fixing the price at £30 and I will get at least 3 models, but try for more if I can if that sounds ok? PLEASE bring cash on the day as I will have to pay Holker and the models in full at the end of the day.

The £30 also gets you into the retouching and editing day at the club hall on the 28th april. If you can only attend the retouching day, I will be charging £15 per person just for the 28th. And if you can only come for part of the retouching day, please come along - I will be doing preplanned tutorials through the morning and then the afternoon will be open to requests and such - basically if there's anything you want to know how to do, bring examples and if I don't already know, or can't just work it out for you, I will find out so that you will know by the end of the day =) This will be starting at about 11am and finishing at about 4/4.30 just depending on if everyone is done by 3 or if there's still a load of you at like 5pm lol
