I hope I'm not cheating, but this is my wife's picture which has a story behind it. It was taken at a tulip festival at Constable Burton Hall in Wensleydale and has been placed in an inter club competition. However it seems to fit the brief.

Thank-you for the entries to this competition, not many to choose from this time, so here goes.

Yachtsmans wife
A good image, lovely colours, but not quite as pale as i would have liked.

Janice,
A lovely picture of blossom, but not quite what i had in mind for pastel colours, a good image never the less.

Myra,
Like this very much, it ticks all the boxes.

Tracey,
This is a great picture, but the branch in the right hand corner distracts me a little.

Bert,
A very colourful image and nicely framed, up to your usual standard Bert.

Pammie,
This is the type of picture i had in mind when i chose pastel colours, the up and down action fits it perfectly.

John,
Don`t know what to say about this, its very unusual, i find it a little disturbing. Sorry.

Philip,
Congratulations for thinking out of the box, it`s well lit, and they are making my mouth water.

3rd Yachtmans wife. 1S

2nd Pammie, 2S 2S

1st Philip. 3S 3S 3S

Over to you Philip for the next competition, and thanks to everyone for entering.

Cheers Des.

Thanks for the third place. I think I should own up about the picture, my wife was new to photograpy when she took the picture, it was one of a series of about ten taken inside the hall all suffering from Camera Shake, however when the club saw it the judges thought it was great & put it in an inter-club comp where it got a Highly Commended I think. I had it re-produced on canvas 4ft x 3ft as a moving in present & it resides on our lounge wall.

Congratulations Phillip - more red ones next time - defo my favourites. Well done everyone who entered. It was interesting to see the different interpretaions of pastels. Thats why I like this comp - you can learn so much from it.

Des,

Thank you for picking my photo as the winner. I have to say, I took the photos and quickly scoffed the lot. I put them all in my mouth and chewed them. I put them ontop of one of my softboxes and had another slightly above to light them.

Thanks to all who entered, and Janice, if there were more red ones in there, I would have eaten them first, they wouldn't have all made it into the photo.

I will post a new topic, thanks again.
