Forum Competition #88 Winning

Post by PhilipHowe »

Copetition #88 has the subject of winning. This can be in it's loosest terms, but must convey winning in some form. Closing date Monday 28th May. Good luck.

Struggled with this subject then remembered the work out I gave my new FZ150 last week & dug out this winning duck from the Hook a Duck stall, Southport funfair.

By the way, the picture above is part of a new AV show which is just a work out for the camera. It's a 38MB download from here. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zi8fdvl4raobac8

I thought as Stu had opened the door for footie pictures, I would add a little montage I did for my hubby when we had a replica European trophy in our studio for a while.

First of all, I would like to thank the six of you for your entries.

Yatchsman1 I forgot all about hook a duck stands, can't wait until my kids are old enough to win whistles, teddies and dead goldfish.
Good bright colours, couldn't have been photographed any other way, it's a pity the ducks weren't around this side. However, that may be because it's a fix and all the good prizes are around the back!

Stu B Well the title of the competition is winning, but this poor sole has such a dejected look on his face. There is no elation or pride shown. Maybe he is immune to winning having done so elsewhere. I don't think the light blue is suited to the photo, I would have prefered a more vibrant red, for instance. It's well framed, I'm not too bothered about the top being cut off. You can see the name of the trophy as well which is great.

Angie In contrast to the previous photo, this guy shows all the jubilation that winning something brings. Good expression, you've tried something different with the framing, a good entry.

Pammie This is different to what I was expecting. A lovely image, nice contrast and I can also read everything written on the stone.

John I don't know about winning, but it's definately different. I won't ask where you found the vampires, or why you have night vision in the first place.

Janice I'm really looking forward to the flame coming through Westhoughton on Thursday.A nice image on a very sunny day. I like the way she is looking at the flame as she is going and you've managed to capture her on her own. Well done.

In third place - Janice, I'm really getting the Olypic bug now, can't wait for the sport overload. Nice image to get me going.
In second place - just beaten by a difference of around 8 goals is Stu B. I have seen some of the other images you've posted. I knew it was coming, but i get to have the last word, as it's my competition. I do like the way it's framed though.
First Place - Pammie, lovely image, good depth of field, good detail and a definite recording of a win.

Well done Pammie, over to you.
