Forum Competition #97 Humour
Photography to me is all about having fun whilst taking good photographs - and goodness knows with the onset of dark mornings and dark nights we need as much fun as we can get. I have, therefore chosen Humour as the next subject. What I would like to see are photographs that depict some form of humour, something funny that will make us smile, chuckle or a great big laugh. It would be good to know why you chose your photo and even add a caption (optional!). Hope you all enjoy this one.
Competion will close at midnight on 10th November 2012

This is very topical as we plan our return to Whitby. Last time it rained, and rained, and rained, well, you get the idea. It was an odd day and here the Goths have found a strange sleeping photographer, still vertical but oblivious. The watched watch the watchers!
Best regards

Is There Anybody In There..... I Chose this photo as it made us laugh out loud at the time of taking it. John was worried about his camera but the monkey wouldn't let go.
Best wishes

The deadline has now passed and it's time for judging.
Sorry Janice. I wanted to support your competition, but didn't have anything suitable.

Re: Forum Competition #97 Humour
Hi folks, sorry for the delay in the judging but I have been on my travels and just returned home. Well, a very disappointing entry - perhaps not a good choice on my part Many thanks to those that have entered and for the messages from Paul and Tracey.
Well here goes:-
John - Was this intentional or one of those where a person close their eyes just as you press the shutter? It really does not matter. I like the casual relaxed nature of the 2 Goths coupled with the fact that they are totally bemused by the sleeping photographer. It is also amusing to see the camera 'shrunken' on it's tripod - amazing what that rain did. A well seen shot and it does make me giggle.
Bazzasmeg - Well at least you have a 'stake' in the comp. I bit of black humour here and the chap seems to be enjoying it too much! Good to see people out having fun and well done for capturing the photo. A wry smile for this one.
Sue - What a lovely photo - a bit of monkey business with some great detail. I like the uncluttered background in this shot and the way that the subject fills the frame. A very natural shot that made me chuckle.
Des - A really quirky shot put together with good imagination. I am not always sure about mono but for this it is absolutely spot on. Very nice processing - this one caused a really good laugh - right up my street and would love this on my wall!

Well done to all and thank you for your entries. Over to you now Des - look forward to seeing what you come up with.
