Missing Images

Since the website moved to a new server, certain pictures are missing from some posts. Are the administraters aware?

Images disappear if the poster doesn't maintain the image on the internet. All the code does is tell the forum where to look foir the image so it can be displayed. However, images can also be uploaded directly to the forum, so if any of these are missing we need to know, but would need pointing to which posts were affected so it can be looked into.

I've had a very quick look at the competition section. All the linked images seem fine, the uploaded ones may or may not be fine, so perhaps we could look at the database and check the images section is OK?

The one I first spotted was on the Urban Abstract comp, Janice's post. There were others in different sections, sorry can't remember which, too much Christmas cheer.

Thanks for spotting this error. It appears to be a problem with the FTP programme I use (filezilla) where it corrupts the image files in the attachments folder. This is party due to how the forum deals with attachments to improve security ie they don't have any file name extensions to prevent people uploading executable scripts. There are LOTS of images which have been uploaded this way on the ADAPS forum so I will try another method to download the images and re-upload using another method.

The good news is that we have a working copy of the original files on our old web-server.

I will let you know when this is complete.

I have re-uploaded all 188mb of images which generally seems to have sorted the issue. However it doesn't appear to have fixed the 'Wet' competition images from a couple of people. Could you try replacing your images on that competition and if I can find a better solution I will let you know.

If anyone else finds any missing images please let me know where the broken link is and I will fix. We now have working copies of all 1280 images!
