hopefully better

Post by collier15 »

Hi all,
I've been out again a couple of places today trying to get a bit more experience with camera's the second two have been taken with my samsung galaxy s2 camera phone not the best picture's but i made a schoolboy error i brought my camera out with me but guess who forgot to charge it last night.
the first have been taken on a nikon coolpix i think these two are better but i think the first one is the best of these pictures

i shall keep posting picture on the forum for two reasons
1, to get any advice on the pictures any advice is better than none even if it is bad you can only get better (hopefully)
2, what someone told me a few years ago if you take photographs they are to be seen not sat in a camera gathering dust

many thanks for looking

Michael :-d

Hi Michael
I'm certainly not experienced enough to offer advice on your images but
I certainly enjoy looking at them all. I think I took a similar picture of
Haigh Hall recently just before chasing the sun as it sank past the horizon on the golf course.
The only thing I can say is the more you practice the more you learn
the better you get.
Hope it holds true for me too. :)
Looking forward to meeting you at the club when I get back there.

Regards

Shaun

The one of Haigh Hall has a square-on composition that certainly suits the subject. However, it isn't really sharp and with this sort of subject we generally do need crispness. Possibly you used the lens at the longer end of the zoom and the shutter speed was too slow to avoid shake.

Try again with a solid tripod and the difference should be amazing.
Best regards
