New Website - PortfolioBox

Post by PhilipHowe »

I was wondering if Anyone had used PortfolioBox. I have created a website in about 10 minutes (real 10 minues, not hours).

Just wondering if anyone had used it and whether they think it's any good.

This is the site I created : http://www.philiphowe.portfoliobox.me/

Hi Phil

I'd never heard of it until now. I like the layout you've chosen. Clean and unfussy. Also, a good selection of images.

Can you point your own domain name to it, or do you have to use the ".portfoliobox.me"?

If you buy the monthls £4.50 package, it includes a free domain name, but you can also point your own domain name at it through cname reference etc.
The £4.50 a month also includes 1000 images and access to a page containing your flickr account, meaning, if you use flickr, you can update that and your website automatically picks the new photos as it links back.

One problem I have is I have to upload a few times, few different formats, but this is different. I think I could even have a couple of flickr accounts, one for portraits, music, commercial. I could then setup my catalogs in Lightroom such that it autoimatically updates to that flickr user and subsequently, my page.

I'm liking the idea and playing around with the trial a bit longer.

Looks good on a mobile as well.
