Thursday 12th September - 'Portraiture'
This week we are looking at Portrait Photography - photographing people.
Everybody does it... from family occasions; party shots on your phone; Facebook profile shots to formal portraits for competitions. We probably capture more images of people than anything else.
We'll be considering what makes a good portrait; looking at the basics of studio lighting and post-production. I am hoping that the evening will be quite interactive.

Thanks Paul,
Enjoyed the evening, very informative and nice to see
techniques in person rather than reading or on vid (you can't
ask them questions).
Look forward to part deux.
Now to convert the spare bedroom.
Regards
Shaun

Re: Thursday 12th September - 'Portraiture'
I would like to thank Paul for lasts nights talk on Portraiture. It was a very informative evening and I think everyone learned something - even those members who have tried portraits before.
Paul is doing 'Portraiture Part 2' on Thursday 21st November and he has asked if there is anything our members would like to cover in this session. If you have any ideas please let Paul know!
Thanks again Paul
Gill.

A most interesting evening, presented with great knowledge and humour. I knew nothing about portraiture and lighting so many thanks for this excellent insight.

Thank-you everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I felt that I fluffed some parts of it, sorry. I know my subject but sometimes struggle to get it across.

Hi Paul
I didn't notice any "fluffiness", your talk was very informative and put across in a way that made it interesting as well as fun. I really enjoyed it and from all the comments on here, so did everyone else. I shall look forward to Part 2.
