The main reason I joined ADAPS was to get on and up the learning curve of photography quickly, so that I could get to grips with the hobby. My progression has been helped by many of the members, but in particular I have had a lot of help from Paul, Gerry, Jared, and Simon, not only in how to use the camera, but also the post processing in Photoshop et al. Sharing knowledge and "secrets" is the best way to help the ADAPS members to progress, and no doubt as they learn new techniques they can pass them back. This is one valuable source of learning and it should be encouraged rather than, as John overheard "It's my secret and you'll have to find out....".John wrote: In years gone by, so many have overheard people saying "that's my secret and you'll have to find out" and that tells us nothing. Gerry is at the top of his game and has no fears about sharing his skills and knowledge.
Glad to help, Mel.melbarnes wrote: I have had a lot of help from Paul, Gerry, Jared, and Simon.....
