I've managed to arrange a visit to the North West Road Transport Museum in St Helens on Sunday 29 November, at 10am. This is two hours before the museum opens to the general public, so we'll be able to take photos without Joe Public in the background.
Our host will be Geoff Sandford (the museum Chairman), who will also kindly open their wartime canteen van for tea/coffee etc and toasted tea cake/light refreshments, for us.
We have been asked to meet at the grey door in front of the building in Hall Street, so if you are coming, please try to arrive no later than 10am, otherwise it will mean our host having to shuttle backwards and forwards to let stragglers in.
The address is: North West Museum of Road Transport, The Old Bus Depot, Hall Street, St.Helens, WA10 1DU, Tel 01744 451681
The entrance fee is £3.50, £2.50 for the over sixties, and £2 for those under 18.
There is a car park opposite the museum in Hall Street.
See the museum's website: http://www.nwmort.co.uk/
I'll put a list up at ADAPS on Thursday, and you can add your name to it; alternatively you can message me or John, and we'll add your name to the list.
I've told our host that there is likely to be about 12 people interested, but I'm sure it won't be a problem if there are more.
Please try to support this event - I intend to look for other events.

Re: Visit to North West Road Transport Museum
Many thanks to Mel for arranging this event. We were made very welcome, saw lots of interesting things and had free run to make images.
Best regards

It's a pleasure - it's just a shame that the rest of the ADAPS members on the list didn't make it - but at least us five had an interesting private shoot.

Some very interesting exhibits. Very amiable staff, who enjoyed talking about and were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the buses and cars etc. on display. Topped off with an excellent cup of tea and toasted teacake. Well worth the effort of turning out on a miserable, wet and windy Sunday morning. Thanks to Mel for organising the visit!

Wish I could have made this, but perhaps there will be another at some stage.
