#224 My best image of this summer
According to the BBC today is the first day of autumn and the weather has certainly felt a bit more like autumn on a couple of mornings this week.
Let's see the best image you took this summer.
Closing date two weeks; midnight September 15th.

Re: #224 My best image of this summer
It's almost impossible to select just one image, but I'm going for a family photo of two granddaughters, Amelia and Sophie. Soon Sophie will be on her way to live in Sweden, so I'm being sentimental about the image, but in my photographic defence I do think that the pictures we take that will endure will be the ones that matter, of people. Seize the moment while we can. Also in my photographic defence, I like this image because it adds a bit of quirkiness as it shows Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust are using their imagination. Medieval Social Media?
Best regards

Re: #224 My best image of this summer
Apologies for my late marking.
Quality rather than quantity again. You have obviously had an interesting summer. It is especially good to see that Mel managed to squeeze in a holiday this year.
A wide range of images, excellent macros, travel/record, summer landscape, wildlife, street (in a field) and family shots.
All good images but the one that sticks in my mind is the gorgeous shot of Mollie. We have seen her a lot over the last few years but this is a beauty.
My winner is Mike Aspinall. Over to you.
(PS I disagree with this weeks judge about Melās image and the black background. I think that it gives the image a graphic sense and looks almost like a copper etching.)

WOW!
Thanks Gordon, obviously a man of taste. Seriously, I had my money on Andy's fantastic picture or Mel's shot
but I will take your decision with pleasure.
I can't compete with the likes of them and others. Mollie is the love of my life and most of my pictures as
you said are of her so it's nice to get something from this award. I haven't done much in winning on the Forum
for a while so will need a little time/thought to set the next subject.
