So here's a challenge to show your best image that depicts movement. For example, movement of people, objects, etc.
The competition closes at 10pm on Sunday 5th June. Good luck.

Re: Competition #270 - Movement
Well, not many entries this time – but definitely quality over quantity!
Darren: You’ve caught the movement of the water really well here – not a very fast shutter speed that freezes the motion, and not a slow speed that gives a cotton-wool effect – just a nice in-between speed.
Sue: A nice composite with a twist here - I assume it’s a twist and not a hosepipe stuck in the back of the camera ) LOL
Graham: A great shot with lots of blurred background motion captured, but with the boat well in focus – this type of shot needs a lot of practise, but you’ve nailed it here.
Terry: This is an excellent night-time shot, with motion really well captured using a long shutter speed, and everything well lit.
So, the winner is Terry, but I find it hard to choose for second place, so there is a tie of three togs! Over to you now Terry to choose a new topic for us all to have a go at.

Re: Competition #270 - Movement
Many thanks Mel,and well done to all other entries.Been thinking of a topic and have settled on Architecture. Do I have to specify the closing date.If so how does Thursday 30th June sound.
Re: Competition #270 - Movement
What you need to do Terry is start a new message thread, title would be "Competition #271 - Architecture" and give us a quick outline of what your competition is about, along with a deadline in about 2-3 weeks time, as convenient.
See the other competitions in this section and that should show you what is needed. Any problems, please ask.
