One advantage of owning a camera that's sensitive to infra red light is that you can stick a filter on the front of the lens and take IR images. this is one I took at Tatton a couple of weeks ago - it was stitched from 3 frames in Photoshop CS4 - you may need to click on it to see the image at a pixel level...

Not something I'd shoot all the time, but an occasional infra red image doesn't do too much harm.
