Worth special mention is this fantastic new monitor I'm looking at now. It's a Dell 2209WA TFT monitor, 22" diagonal and 1680x1050 native resolution. Brilliant! You can even move your viewpoint around without it vatying in colur or brightness....

The snag is when Sue gets home I know we'll be ordering a second one!

John, it seems it has an IPS panel which will explain the good colour when the angle of view changes.

Yes, the order of prefernce seems to be TN (ugh) followed by PVA (yay) and best of all IPS (Woot!)
