Competition # 55 "Silhouette"

Post by bazzasmeg »

Thanks Tom,

I will have to come over to one of the open evenings that ADAPS have to meet you all, but in the mean time, my chosen subject for competition no 55 is Silhouette.
To make things interesting (hopefully) the subject can either be back lit, Contrejour or just a simple silhouette. Closing date will be in 3 weeks, midnight on the 30th May.

Best regards, Barry

Ian, A good first attempt, Good detail in the both background and foreground. A little less grain would have improved the shot
Burt, Good colour and the shadow give the image depth.
John, I have never seen this pier look so colourful, the moon in the sky is a nice touch
Pammie, Some great colours in this shot, you have also managed to reflect these in the sands
Sunsworth, Great colour and the local children in the shot help to add interest to the foreground
Phillip, A nice panoramic that has lovely warm feeling and the people help to show the scale of the range of the dunes
Tracey, A lovely warm glow from the sun reflecting in the water makes the foreground tree really stand out and the people in the boat are adding interest in the middle of the picture.
Tom, The only B&W image. The rolling hills and feeding sheep give this one depth and the lighting shows the intricate detail of the tree
Sue, The light from the low-lying sun has thrown the tree into silhouette but allowed the sky and ground to remain colourful.

3rd Pammie
2nd John
1st Sue

Thanks for all the entries, Sue, over to you. Regards, Barry
