Bernie Hogan
Bernie Hogan
Sadly I have to tell you that Bernie Hogan, one of our most enthusiastic members, has recently died, having been unwell for some time. Bernie was always there on our trips and events and Tom Gerrard has kindly provided a picture of him in action, doing what he loved, making images.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy go out to Bernie's family and we will fondly remember him at ADAPS.Best regards
John

Re: Bernie Hogan
RIP Bernard, what a lovely gentleman he was.
Re: Bernie Hogan
He was such a cheerful character always, with a cheeky sense of humour. He turned up on maintenance night - clearly not well at all, but he made the effort to get on the bus and make it there. We didn't let him do anything - we could see he was poorly. Gill and I took him home and made sure he got into his house - the last time we saw him.
Tom - this is a super photo of Bernie - as you say, doing what he loved to do - thank you for posting it.
Rest in Peace Bernie. Hope you are in a better place.

Re: Bernie Hogan
Very sad to read this news, he was a lovely bloke, always enthuisastic and inquisitive, and I enjoyed many a chat with him at the club.
He will be missed by the many friends hat he made there.

Very sad to hear the news of Bernies passing. A very enthusiastic club member and a friend to everyone.
Re: Bernie Hogan
Sadly, the funeral has already happened. We were unable to get a reply from any of the phone numbers we had, so only found out about Bernie several weeks after.
Several of us would have attended had we known.

Re: Bernie Hogan
Just seen this and I'm gutted - he was a great guy. I first met him when I joined the club - a few years back - he welcomed me in and made my first few weeks in the club very easy. Very sad news.

Re: Bernie Hogan
I couldn't believe it when I heard, poor Bernie, what a lovely lovely man, he is going to be missed very much by many of the members at ADAPS, may he rest in peace.
Here are a couple of photos taken in January at the Post Xmas do. The first one where he is having a cuddle with the ladies, the second one looking very tall and dapper, I'm sure he would smile at both these images. We were both stood outside together waiting for our lifts after the Do, we had a right good natter, he was telling me what a really good night he had had.
He was a true gentleman.
