A friend of mine has just opened a fully equiped small studio in Farnworth which is available to hire at a reasonable cost and will be running courses throughout the year. Here are details of the first course which will be run by Paul Cox. I have already booked myself a place.

Picfx Studio’s first workshop is to be the amazing Manchester photographer Paul Cox.
The workshop will start at 2 pm, and for the first 90 minutes Paul will cover his studio skills in the PICFX studio, on how to creatively light models, starting from 1 light up to 5.

1. Equipment needed for strobist lighting
2. Setting up a portrait
3. Applying technique to full length fashion images
4. Practical

We will then break for 30 mins to be served lunch and your questions to Paul Cox, and then a further 90 mins of practical work , including some strobist work in the wood yard at the back of the studio. This will be a chance for you to get your camera out with a real life fashion model and get some hands on experience with Pauls guidance on how to use off camera flash and get amazing results.

All images on the day can be used in your portfolio and website. £20.00 paypal deposit secures your place at this workshop.
