A print from Astly

Post by mark dyson »

ImageThis is a scan from a print that I printed in my darkroom from Astley mining trip.
This was printed on Forte warmtone paper developed in Ilford muligrade 50 seconds on grade 3, with a burn to the top left to bring in down and balance the tones. I like the delicate flowers against the hard steel. I hpe you like it.

Hi Mark,

I know nothing about making a print, so I can't comment on your technique at all, but the image is a good one for me. I really like the warmness of it, and the contrast between the delicacy and strength works really well.

Mark

I look forward to see the actual print.
I bet it knocks spots off what we see on the monitor

Imageel I printed this shot of two models that where at the Astly photo night. Printed in my darkroom on warm-tone paper, scanned the print into lightroom and give the sky a grad filter effect to the top left to balance the image. I think the shot has a sixties feel or is it just me.
