Photo Mount Adhesive

Post by John Higham »

Does anyone know were I can buy suitable - Photo Mount Spray Adesive - locally, if not I will have to use safety pins for my prints for this comming Thursday?

I have been to Range and the Art shop near Bolton B&Q, wthout success, they have some but its not the fixing type.

I bought mine from Ryman's in Leigh. That was last year, but I don't see why they'd have stopped selling it. If you don't have any luck, I'm planning on mounting my prints on monday so if you want to pop round and borrow mine after that drop me a pm.

Hi John

I've just bought a 400ml can off eBay for £14.90 this includes P&P - not cheap stuff is it? Just hope it comes in time..!!! Mind you, my prints haven't yet arrived, starting to get a bit worried :( :( :(

Glue may still be wet when I bring them in on Thursday.

You can also get Photo Mount from Staples and other stationery stores, but it will probably be cheaper on Amazon.

We got ours from the Range, it was their own brand and was £7.99 a can. This was exactly the same can that Theo showed us on opening night.

I know you said you had been there already, so maybe keep an eye out for it and get a can in stock.

The reason I am in this situation is that I normally use the two board mounting method, leaving a lap under border on my prints however when my prints arrived on Friday they had been over cropped along one edge, which in all cases just happened to be the worst edge for this to occur on, so this method could not be adopted.

The only option is to stick the photo on a single card, hence the urgent need for the adhesive.

So thanks for your replies and I will check them out accordingly.
