Face of Wigan
This photograph has been accepted for the Wigan World Photo-a-day website. The sculpture is quite controversial and is hated by most Wiganers.

Re: Face of Wigan
Thanks folks. Really enjoying just trying things out at the moment. I won't forget this photo in a hurry - it cost me a £35 parking fee, despite the fact that I had displayed my blue badge and was away from the car for less than 20 seconds!

That's disgraceful! (the parking thing not the photo)
Was it one of those spy cars like they have here? I know councils are strapped for cash but that's ridiculous - I hope you contest it.

Re: Face of Wigan
I have appealed Pammie but to no avail! So much for understanding by Wigan parking authority. I had to leave the car to help Gerry negotiate some steps (he's is on crutches and can barely walk) and when I turned round to return to the car, the ticket was being made out. He doesn't know I was booked as he would be so upset. It was his first time out of the house in 3 months!

Parking Ticket
Maybe post your story on WiganWorld, or tweet about it and see if Wigan Council are listening....?

Re: Face of Wigan
Congratulations on the image Janice, it's a cracker, you should be very proud. Sorry to hear about the parking ticket, I would definitely appeal, if the council knew the circumstances they would be completely heartless not to let you off with it.
Best Wishes
