Having seen the entries in tonights competition I feel sure that the number of portraits that made it through to 'the hall of fame' makes those portrait workshops worthwhile. The comments from the judge on the standard of portrait photography must surely prove the worth of those workshops too.
It seems that all the workshops, no matter what the subject, are well attended, confidence is rising and the club as a whole can only benefit from the time and effort put in by all those involved. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to say a huge thank you to all those giving their time for the benefit of others as well as the club as a whole.
I know my confidence, as an absolute beginner, has started to grow thanks to the friendliness and open attitude of the club members. Even I have started to try new things.... though I'm pretty sure the neighbours will soon have me arrested for loitering in dark corners, that or it'll be a visit from the men in white coats...!! Well I had to start somewhere if I plan on taking night photographs, though maybe amongst the bins under the darkness of night wasn't one of my better decisions.... lmho..
All hail the club workshops... long may they continue.

Thanks for the comments kathy. Everyone who is involved in the various things the club does works hard at them and it's always great to get some positive feedback!
Best regards
