Hi Jane,
My other half Mike does family portraits he has a studio in leigh, you can still catch him in time to do christmas portraits if you mention you are from the club. He is just about to update his website but you can see his old one here
http://www.the-photographers.co.uk, the phone number is 01942 671040. If you can call us saturday I will be there to take your call as he will be shooting weddings both friday and Saturday, just let us know what you need and when you can get there

Hi Jane/Mike/Angie.

Jane, that looks like exactly the result you were after!
Have a look at Mike's web site and you will see how to pose groups (under Galleries).
I don't see any with the family dog in there as well, however, my advice would be to get whoever controls the dog to stand at the front while you explain how the dog should be, as they will get a better idea of what you are trying to achieve. It will make it easier for them to help while still being part of the photo.

Good Luck.

Just to update this.

Have to say a big thankyou to Mike,
we went over on friday - ive never done anything in a studio before so it was my first time,
Lewis the little one is coming in to the terrible two's and tbh i dont know who's as bad him or the dog lol
both can play up something cronic - lewis was quite relaxed being there, although verry much prefared to play
with the football or the tigger teddy insted of sitting for any leingh of time, they all seemd to have fun
and so did i - although i think mike was having more fun with the tigger teddy

For a first time i dont think i did to bad.

Maybe he have Moves like Jagger ;) .. Ok Maroon 5 referance for those that dont follow the modern hit parade ;)
Take only pictures, Leave only footprints ........
Возьмите только фотографии, оставить только след .........

Always ask yourself this question: “am I proud of this shot?” if the answer is “yes” then it doesn’t matter what anyone else says.
