Adobe have taken to writing Android apps. Handy for the train, or shoots on the move?
Have a look from about 3 minutes:

Save up £399 and get an Ipad-2, they just work and quickly.
Is that a pencil rubber he's using? Sorry got bored before 3 mins.
Adobe already have photoshop style apps on the ipad.

Re: Android tablet instead of a laptop?
Twice as much for a device which is riddled with restricted formats, no thanks. Apole are making their own graphics programs and putting further restrictions on their SDK.
Archos have always made solid products, I've had a few of their products, they are sturdy, unrestricted and well supported. Add a 250gb disk and a USB host for half the price and that's the one for me. Only ever had one apple product, wouldn't go near another.
The thing is about that app, you can set up all your layers, open it up in full Photoshop and continue. I'd urge you to look at three mins in, the method for dropping the background is great, I would expect that method to be in cs6.
