We're very pleased that all Redeye subscribers (i.e. you) can attend free of charge a series of talks by respected photographers at Bolton University this spring. Launching the series on 31st January 2008 from 2pm to 4pm is Ian Macdonald, who has worked since 1968 as a documentary photographer in the North East of England - see http://www.ianmacdonald.co.uk for more information. Please email i.beesley@bolton.ac.uk to confirm your attendance. The venue is Room 2020, Deane Campus, University of Bolton. See http://www.bolton.ac.uk/AboutUs/CampusMaps.aspx for directions.

forthcoming lectures are: John Bulmer, Simon Norfolk, Ian McMillan

I'm a little bit disappointed with the times they are planning on running these... I would love to go and am considering taking 1/2 a day off work to do so... but certainly have no intention of doing that throughout the year.

Make it 6-8pm and I'm there... but anytime between 8:00am-5:30pm is just a pain.

Mark

Thanks very much for the tip. I did attend the talk which was very interesting. Lots of very good pictures.
I simply emailed Ian Beesley to make sure that it was OK.
Whilst the venue is laid on for the students of bolton uni there were a number of outside visitors. Plenty of spacce for more.
There is another one coming up in a few weeks time and if you have the chance its worth going.

To find the lecture theatre just go to the main reception as it is just above it.
