Something I've always found helpful on other forums is using the signature as an 'experience' holder. For instance, on forums I use at work, there is one that asks you to list your experience level, ie 10 years development experience and any relevant qualifications etc.
On my signature on here, I have listed my current equipment list in use. This then allows any member to search the forum for, say a lens. It will then return all members who have that lens. It may help other members when looking at new equipment as they can then go and have a word and find out that users experience with a particular lens/camera before purchasing.
Just a thought, but I would be interested in the equipment other members have. I realise, of course, that some members may like to keep that a secret, for whatever reson they wish..........

Re: Signature
Walter,
The fact that you've entered it here, the meaning is the same. If I now search the forum for Elinchrom 500, it will list your post in the results!
Thanks.

Re: Signature
Just a thought...
When does a signature become an inventory?

Re: Signature
My feeling is that it gets a bit OTT and clutters up the forum.
I doubt very much that many of our members will be wanting to do a search on who has a particular piece of equipment. If they want to find someone who has an item then they can just post a message and ask.
