Testimonials from attendees on the ADAPS Beginner’s Photography Course:

“A really good course, took time to explain individually, and answered any questions we had – there was no rush and explained simply so we could all understand, regardless of our level of knowledge”.

“The course was well presented and nothing was too much trouble, and no question was too daft, i.e. explanation would be given more times until I got it. This course was the perfect starting point”.

“Very useful and informative with good practical exercises and suggestions to embed the learning. Really enjoyed the course and I understand my camera better, which was what I wanted from the course”.

April 2023:

For the past two weeks the society has held our annual competitions with excellent images competing in both digital and print competitions. Next week sees our AGM which is only open to members but May is an excellent time to join our society. Our program continues across the summer with plenty of opportunities to get out and about with our cameras and share skills, and new members can join in our regular weekly meetings before joining in   the  competition season which restarts in the autumn.

Please come and visit us on a Thursday evening at 8pm (arrive a little early to chat with some of our members). You are welcome to visit a couple of times before taking the plunge.

 November 2022:

One of our regular activities is to hold battles with other local camera clubs. These are a great opportunity to meet other photographers and to share our best images. They are always held in a friendly and sociable atmosphere but with a hint of local rivalry. One such is our regular battle with Wigan PS in which we compete for the coveted miner’s lamp trophy. Last week we visited Wigan and came away with the trophy after a great evening.  Many thanks to Wigan PS for hosting.
