Not very long ago it was normal practice for the prints/slides to be delivered to the judge a week or so prior to the competition, judging on the night is a fairly recent thing. I make no comment as to which is preferable as I very rarely enter competitions.

Bulls Head at Astley. No entertainment but semi private room can be booked, (Have been with caravan group,- good food) Boat House, Higher Green Lane, Astley. Entertainment some nights, semi private tables can be reserved. Sometimes singer can be noisy. If I think of any more will communicate, furthe...

Some very interesting exhibits. Very amiable staff, who enjoyed talking about and were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the buses and cars etc. on display. Fabulous show, by Andrew. A good showing with the use of an ancient ''limelight'' projector, showing the horrors of WW1. The quality of the glass slides was amazing. Well worth attending. Alan D.
